Beijing Olympics 2008

Pada tahun ni, as you all know, China will be hosting the 29th Olympic Games.  This Monday, April 21st, The Olmypic Torch Relay will be coming to Malaysia, to Kuala Lumpur.

I feel very sad of what the anti-China protesters are doing towards the Olympic Torch.  They try to distinguish the sacred fire which brings warmth and supposedly peace to all nations.  What is being portrayed now is nothing but hatred and war.  It so happens that the Olympics are to be held in China but why are they trying to attack an event has such positive values.  I’m not supporting China nor am I against China.  I support the cause of Olympics and Olympism.

Below is the magazine cover of Asia Weekly.  It shows a drawing of the Olympic Torch surrounded by suffering and poverty.  It’s really an interesting picture because it’ll draw different opinions and views from people.  I would like to know what you think of it especially if you follow the China-Tibet issue which currently not subsiding in anyway.
